Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art (L-Mount)

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art (model A026) is a fast, wide-angle prime lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, available with Sony E-mount and L-Mount options. The 35mm focal length offers a versatile field of view suitable for reportage, street photography, environmental portraits, travel, documentary photography, and video production. Its maximum f/1.4 aperture enables shooting in low-light conditions and achieving a shallow depth of field, while the rounded 11-blade diaphragm ensures smooth bokeh rendering. The optical design comprises 15 elements in 12 groups—including two SLD elements and four aspherical elements—engineered to minimize chromatic aberration, coma, and loss of sharpness across the entire frame. The autofocus system employs a dual HLA linear motor, designed to deliver fast, precise, and silent focusing for both stills and video. It features a minimum focusing distance of 28 cm, a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.4, and a 67mm filter thread. The lens body is dust- and splash-resistant, featuring a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element and a new AAC (Advanced Amorphous Coating) designed to reduce flare and ghosting. Compared to the previous DG DN generation, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art is more compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 530 g (L-Mount) and 525 g (Sony E-mount). It is an ideal choice for photographers and videographers seeking a fast full-frame 35mm lens that combines advanced autofocus, professional-grade construction, and optical performance optimized for high-resolution sensors.
