Sirui SVM-165P Modular Carbon Fiber Video Monopod with Base and Foot Pedal

Sirui SVM-165P is a professional modular carbon-fiber monopod designed for photography and video, particularly suitable for sports, wildlife, events, run-and-gun shooting, and use with telephoto lenses or lightweight video setups. Sirui’s patented Rapid System allows the three sections to be extended and retracted quickly through a single twist-lock control, making height adjustments faster while shooting. The monopod reaches a maximum height of 165 cm, measures approximately 83 cm at minimum extension and about 82 cm when retracted, uses tubes with a maximum diameter of 36 mm and a minimum diameter of 24 mm, weighs approximately 1.58 kg, and supports a stated maximum payload of 10 kg. The SVM-165P version includes the SVM-LF three-leg base with foot-pedal control: pressing the pedal quickly releases the ball joint, allowing the monopod to tilt by approximately 20° and rotate through 360°, while pressing it again returns the system to a locked position; ball friction can also be adjusted according to equipment weight and the desired movement resistance. The base measures approximately 410 mm in diameter when fully opened, improving stability, and can be detached from the main monopod. Its modular design allows the system to be used as a monopod, extension pole, or compact tabletop tripod, while the self-adapting 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch top thread enables direct attachment of cameras, video heads, gimbals, and other compatible accessories. Sirui SVM-165P is therefore suitable for photographers and videographers looking for a robust, quickly adjustable support that offers greater mobility than a traditional tripod, with an articulated base designed to follow moving subjects and facilitate panning and angle changes.
