Olympus XA 2

Olympus XA2 is a compact 35 mm film camera designed to provide maximum portability and ease of use in a pocket-sized body. It features an Olympus D.Zuiko 35mm f/3.5 lens with a 4-element, 4-group optical design, suitable for travel photography, street photography, and everyday use. Focusing is handled through a three-zone system with selectable settings for close subjects, intermediate distances, and landscapes, while exposure is fully automatic with electronically controlled shutter operation. The sliding front cover also acts as the main power switch, protecting the lens and controls when the camera is not in use. The optical viewfinder provides essential framing information, while film advance and rewind are manual. Film speed can be set manually and the camera supports the dedicated Olympus A11 flash through its side-mounted connection. Powered by two SR44 batteries, the Olympus XA2 combines compact dimensions, automatic exposure, and a moderately wide focal length, making it especially suitable for users looking for a simple and immediate analog compact camera.
