A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements and controls lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright and backlit conditions. Additionally, the lens has a rounded 9-blade diaphragm which contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality with smooth transitions between the in-focus and out-of-focus regions of the image.
