The Vitessa is an innovative 35mm rangefinder folding camera made by Voigtländer in the 1950s. Focus is controlled by the user’s right thumb via a wheel on the back of the top plate, with a distance dial (and depth of field scale) set in the top plate. The film advance, which automatically loads the shutter, is operated with a large plunger protruding from the top plate, which can be retracted when the camera is folded. The third version has these characteristics: the parallax correction becomes automatic, has the PC flash socket on the lens and is equipped with handles for the shoulder strap.
