Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. – cod. 11882 – Silver

Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. Silver, code 11 882, is a wide-angle prime lens for Leica M cameras, belonging to the first ASPH. generation introduced in the 1990s. The 35 mm focal length provides an angle of view of approximately 63° on the 24 × 36 mm format and is particularly well suited to street photography, reportage, travel, documentary work, and environmental portraiture. The f/2 maximum aperture allows effective shooting in low-light conditions while maintaining good control over depth of field. The optical design consists of 7 elements in 5 groups and includes one aspherical surface, developed to reduce aberrations and maintain high contrast and sharpness across the frame. Focusing is fully manual and rangefinder-coupled for Leica M cameras, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 m and a maximum reproduction ratio of approximately 1:17.5. The manual diaphragm uses 8 blades, with click-stop adjustment in half-stop increments and a minimum aperture of f/16. The lens accepts E39 screw-in filters and is used with a separate clip-on lens hood. Its all-metal construction with Silver Chrome finish measures approximately 34.5 mm in length, 53 mm in maximum diameter, and weighs about 340 g, providing a compact and well-balanced configuration on Leica M camera bodies.
