The Hasselblad X1D 50C is a digital mirrorless camera equipped with a 43.8 x 32.9 mm medium format CMOS sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The device handles 16-bit color depth and claims a nominal dynamic range of 14 stops using the proprietary Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution color management system. The camera body is made of machined aluminum and houses a mount for XCD lenses equipped with an integrated central shutter that allows flash synchronization at all shutter speeds up to 1/2000 of a second. Focusing occurs via a contrast-detection system with 117 points selectable through the 3-inch rear touchscreen display or via the 2.36 million-dot XGA electronic viewfinder. In terms of connectivity, the camera body features dual SD card slots (UHS-I), a USB 3.0 Type-C port for tethering and data transfer, as well as integrated Wi-Fi and GPS modules. Power is supplied by a 3200 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery which can be charged directly via the USB port. The internal software supports the acquisition of files in proprietary 3FR RAW format and JPEG offering an ISO sensitivity range between 100 and 25600.
