Sony FX5 is a full-frame Cinema Line camera with Sony E mount, designed for professional video production, documentaries, digital content, run-and-gun shooting, hybrid workflows, and use on gimbals or compact rigs. It features a newly developed full-frame sensor and introduces Open Gate recording to the FX series, allowing the full sensor area to be used and horizontal, vertical, or anamorphic formats to be extracted in post-production. The camera supports internal RAW recording in X-OCN format and advanced video functions aimed at a compact cinematic workflow, while maintaining compatibility with Sony E lenses and dedicated Cinema Line accessories.
