Walking Way Black Mist 1/4 Filter is a creative diffusion filter designed for photographic and video lenses, intended to reduce overall image contrast, soften highlights, and create a subtle glow around light sources. The 1/4 strength provides an intermediate diffusion effect, more visible than the 1/8 version but less pronounced than stronger densities, making it suitable for portraits, video, social content, urban photography, night shooting, and productions where a softer image is desired directly in camera. The filter uses black particles dispersed in the optical glass to reduce perceived sharpness without completely removing detail, also helping to make skin appear more even and to reduce the overly digital look of some footage. Its construction includes AGC HD optical glass with double-sided multi-layer nano coating, designed to reduce reflections and make cleaning easier, with resistance to water, oil, scratches, and fingerprints. The slim aviation aluminum frame, with a stated thickness of approximately 3.2 mm, helps limit the risk of vignetting on many compatible lenses and uses a CNC screw-in design for direct mounting on the lens front thread. It is available in different diameters and should be selected according to the filter thread size marked on the lens, not according to the camera model.
