Panasonic is delighted to present the LUMIX S5D: a new full-frame hybrid mirrorless camera that delivers outstanding performance and exceptional flexibility for both video and stills. Based on the compact design of the LUMIX S5, the new LUMIX S5D is compatible with DJI’s LiDAR autofocus system. When the S5D camera is paired with DJI’s LiDAR Range Finder module and RS 3 Pro Gimbal system, distance measurement data is transmitted to the camera via USB, and the camera handles focusing without the need for a dedicated motor. This makes it more manoeuvrable thanks to its more compact size and offers greater shooting freedom. Furthermore, the lens requires no calibration, making set-up even quicker. Thanks to the LiDAR system’s 43,200 high-speed detection points within a range of 14 metres, extremely fast focusing is possible, which is effective even in low-light conditions. Furthermore, the new LUMIX S5D camera is equipped with all the popular features of its predecessor, including a 24.2-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor that boasts a wide dynamic range and high-sensitivity performance, and captures crystal-clear video with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 51,200 thanks to Dual Native ISO technology.
