Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 – Cod. 11 114 / Type 2 / E43

Produced from 1969 to 1991: Cod. 11 114 or 11 113

This version uses the same optics in a black barrel with continuous ribbing around the focus ring.
Just to keep things confusing, the black version started out as part number 11 113, but when black soon became the standard color, it reverted to the standard 11 114 part number.
It takes 43mm filters, weighs 360g. and focuses to 1m. It takes a new black, vented 12 586 hood.
Some casual users refer to this as “Type 2.”
